Our client was keen to create an interesting area outside her Edwardian house. Visible from both the lounge, and the conservatory, it needed to be elegant and attractive, reflecting the age and style of the house.

A row of framed arches creates vistas through to the rest of the garden, and helps to distract from the neighbouring garage. The existing garden path has been extended to form a dining area. This in turn steps up to a gravel area, and again to a higher patio to the side of the house.

Raised beds partially enclose the area and enable our client, a keen gardener, to grow scented climbing plants and those that may otherwise struggle in the local soil.
