CONTEMPORARY GARDEN, HARPENDEN

My client's garden was shallow and devoid of interest. Following a substantial renovation of their house, they wanted to create spaces for relaxing and dining in the garden, as well as somewhere for their children's Wendy House to be positioned.
By designing the garden on the diagonal, the space appeared larger, and more generous. The patio in the bottom corner provides a comfortable space to relax and enjoy the garden, while there is space on the deck for a small dining area.
The boundary fences were stained black to make them less obvious, and a palette of evergreen shrubs and climbers mixed with blues and purples provides an interesting and colourful planting scheme throughout the year.
